Bike Inner Tubes

Check the numbers printed on the tyre sidewall. Match the wheel diameter and tyre width range to the inner tube listing.

Schrader valves are wider and similar to car tyre valves. Presta valves are narrower and commonly found on many road and performance bikes.

Inner tubes can cover a small range of tyre widths, but they should still match the listed size range. Avoid forcing a tube that is clearly too small or too large.

Many e-bikes use standard tube sizes, but heavier bikes can place more strain on tyres and tubes. Always match the exact tyre size and keep pressures correct.

Repeat punctures can be caused by sharp objects still inside the tyre, rim tape issues, incorrect fitting, low pressure or a damaged tyre.

If the tyre is cracked, worn, split or has embedded debris, replacing the tyre as well as the tube is often the safer option.
