Patinete Eléctrico KuKirin G2

The KuKirin G2 electric scooter is the practical starting point in KuKirin's performance-focused G-series. It combines an 800W single motor, a 48V 15Ah lithium battery and 10-inch tubeless tyres in a foldable chassis designed for adult riders using suitable private land. If you want more substance, suspension and braking capability than a small entry-level scooter, without stepping straight into a dual-motor machine, the G2 deserves a closer look.

Its published maximum speed is 45km/h (around 28mph), with a manufacturer-claimed range of up to 55km (around 34 miles) in favourable conditions. This is a performance e-scooter, not a road-legal UK commuter scooter.

What makes the KuKirin G2 worth considering?

800W power without the complexity of dual motors

The single 800W motor is the G2's defining feature. It delivers stronger acceleration than a typical low-power scooter while keeping the drive system simpler than the twin-motor G2 Ultra and G2 Master. Selectable speed modes help riders match their pace to the available space and conditions. The manufacturer's published climbing figure is up to 20°, although real-world hill ability varies with rider weight, grip and battery level.

48V 15Ah battery: understand the 55km range claim

The battery has approximately 720Wh of nominal energy capacity (48V × 15Ah). KuKirin quotes up to 55km under controlled conditions; it is not a promise that every rider will travel 34 miles. Fast acceleration, hills, stop-start riding, cold weather, low tyre pressure and a heavier load will reduce the distance you can cover. For longer private-site routes, plan around the conditions you actually ride in rather than the maximum headline figure.

10-inch tubeless tyres, suspension and disc brakes

Large-for-the-category 10-inch air-filled tyres and suspension at both ends help manage vibration on suitable firm tracks, compacted paths and uneven private surfaces. Tubeless does not mean puncture-proof: check pressures before riding, inspect for cuts and avoid debris or surfaces beyond the scooter's capability. Front and rear disc brakes provide separate braking at both wheels; keep pads, rotors and adjustment in good condition.

Smart display, lighting and a useful folding frame

The G2 includes an integrated touch-enabled information display for speed, battery level and riding information, plus built-in lighting to improve visibility. Its deck measures approximately 46 × 18.7cm, giving adults more room to adjust their stance. The stem folds for storage, but the scooter is still a substantial adult machine: check the folded dimensions and whether you can safely lift it into a car or store it at home.

Who is the G2 best suited to?

Choose the G2 if you mainly ride on permitted private property, want a capable 800W electric scooter and prefer a simpler, less powerful setup than KuKirin's dual-motor models. It's a sensible option for riders moving up from a smaller scooter who still value a manageable power delivery. As with any powerful e-scooter, start in the lowest riding mode and wear suitable protective equipment.

Consider another model if your priority is maximum acceleration, frequent steep gradients or two-wheel-drive traction. The KuKirin G2 Ultra adds two 800W motors and a larger battery, while the G2 Master moves to dual 1000W motors and a 52V platform.

Before you buy: charging, storage and first-ride checks

• Charging: Allow approximately 8–9 hours for a full recharge; use the supplied compatible charger and follow the manufacturer's charging guidance.
• Storage: Measure your available space; folding the stem reduces height, not the scooter's overall length or weight.
• Maintenance: Check tyre pressures, brake operation, folding-lock engagement and fasteners before each session.
• Riding surface: Choose suitable, predictable private surfaces and adapt your speed to grip, sightlines and stopping distance.

KuKirin G2 UK questions answered

How fast is the KuKirin G2?

Its published maximum is up to 45km/h, roughly 28mph, with lower-speed modes available. Actual speed depends on conditions, load and battery charge.

How far can the 800W G2 travel?

KuKirin quotes up to 55km, approximately 34 miles. Treat that as a favourable-conditions figure, not an expected result for fast or hilly rides.

Is the KuKirin G2 road legal in the UK?

No. Privately owned e-scooters such as the G2 cannot legally be ridden on UK public roads, pavements, cycle lanes or public parks. They may be ridden on private land only with the landowner's permission. See the UK government's e-scooter rules.
